Smarthiker is a Global Positioning System (GPS) software application for the Microsoft Smartphone especially for walkers, hikers and mountineers.
It shows the following information using a bluetooth GPS unit:
- Current Lat / Long Current
- OSGB Grid reference (UK only)
- Current Speed
- Current Direction of Travel
- Average Speed
This is currently in beta release and tested on Orange c500 windows mobile 2003 SE using a TomTom Bluetooth GPS unit. Users have only had limited success with other gps units and phones, it seems to be down to bluetooth compatabilities.
To install copy both .cab files below to anywhere on your phone, then navigate to the directory you saved them to using your phone and click on each cab file to install.
